Sonu Nigam is an Indian playback singer and composer . He sings Mostly in Hindi and Kannada language films. He also sang in English, Bengali, Manipuri, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Nepali, Maithili, Malayalam and others languages. He has also released Indian albums and acted in Bollywood films. He made his singing career when he was four year with his father Agam Kumar Nigam on stage to sing Mohammed Rafi's song "Kya Hua Tera Wada. He was trained by India classical singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. He has recorded Romantic, Rock, Sad, Devotional, Ghazal and Patriotic songs, He has released albums in Hindi, Kannada, Odia, and Punjabi, as well as Hindu and Islamic devotional albums. he gave solo Live concerts titled Simply Sonu in Canada and Germany, He was the first Indian singer to do so. In April 2008, he toured India promoting his Punjabi single songs . His first film song as a playback singer was for Janam which was never officially released. He then Started making radio commercials. He was the host of the Sa Re Ga Ma music show from 1995 until 1999. His acting career began as a child in films including Betaab .As an adult, he acted in Cinema such as Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Kash Aap Hamare Hote and Love in Nepal.He is the winner of several awards including National Award , Filmfare Award in Hindi and 3 filmfare Award in South film.
